Description
Rhapsody brings to life all the colors I remember from learning about music when I was young. I was exposed to a lot of different kinds of music, and my mother had very interesting record collection. We would often listen in the dark, with only a very small lamp in the next room. One piece I remember was Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 that featured a lively violin element. Oh, and the Czardas. There was nothing to fixate on visually in the dark, so I would imagine colors emanating from the music I heard. I suppose the artist in me was emerging. Years on, I was reminded of these evenings and was inspired to create Rhapsody. This piece is not comprised of all photo assets, as the violin and bow shown here are an illustration I completed in 2018.
